We are a proud 4 Green Key Hotel, members of the Eco Fund Initiative, and the honoured winner of the Eco Star Award for Greenest Lodging on Vancouver Island. As of March 2023 we are also a Biosphere Certified Hotel.
As part of our committment to reduce our impact on the environment, we became an EcoFund Verified business in March 2021. As part of this program, our guests have the opportunity to make a positive change by paying a $2.00 EcoFee that is then applied to large carbon reduction projects onsite. A 3rd party organization called GreenStep Solutions is working with us to identify and implement a range of energy, fuel, waste, and water conservation projects within our hotel.
Completed projects include a completed LED Light retrofit for all common areas of Huntingdon Manor as well as the LED retrofit for all exterior incandescent light strings of the Pendray Inn and Tea House. Thank you for your support and for being part of the solution!
