The Pendray Inn and Tea House
Built in the late 1800’s by William Pendray, this beautiful boutique inn features nine guest rooms and a large dining room with outdoor and indoor seating. Perfect venues for small weddings and socially distanced gatherings. We serve a premium breakfast experience and Afternoon Tea daily. In the evening, discover our new Scottish High Tea, a unique dining experience featuring a British-inspired three-tiered selection of sweet and savoury specialties. We are a proud 4 Green Key Hotel, members of the Eco Fund Initiative, and the honoured winner of the Eco Star Award for Greenest Lodging on Vancouver Island. As of March 2023 we are also a Biosphere Certified Hotel.
As part of our committment to reduce our impact on the environment, we became an EcoFund Verified business in March 2021. As part of this program, our guests have the opportunity to make a positive change by paying a $2.50 EcoFee that is then applied to large carbon reduction projects onsite. A 3rd party organization called GreenStep Solutions is working with us to identify and implement a range of energy, fuel, waste, and water conservation projects within our hotel.
Completed projects include a full LED light retrofit in all common areas of the Huntingdon Hotel and Suites, and a retrofit of all exterior incandescent light strings at the Pendray Inn and Tea House.Recent investments also include the installation of a high-efficiency boiler system at the Huntingdon Hotel, upgraded roof insulation for both the Huntingdon Hotel and Pendray Inn, and the addition of EV charging stations to support low-emission travel.
