Scottish High Tea is our signature evening dining experience, inspired by the hearty, comforting meals traditionally enjoyed in Scotland and Northern England. Unlike Afternoon Tea, which is known for delicate sandwiches, petite pastries, and lighter fare, High Tea was traditionally a more substantial evening meal - generous, savoury, and satisfying.
At Pendray Tea House, we’ve taken that tradition and given it an elegant, locally inspired twist.
A Three-Tiered Evening Feast
Scottish High Tea begins with a beautifully presented three-tiered selection of savouries, freshly baked scones, and signature pastries.
The evening begins with a smoked salmon and capers gremolata blini, followed by a selection of hearty savouries. Enjoy classic Welsh Rarebit with aged cheddar, Hoyne Stout, and caramelized onions, a crispy Dutchess potato, and a traditional Scotch egg made with Village Butcher pork and served with hot mustard remoulade.
For the main savoury selection, guests can choose between a comforting Maple Leaf chicken pie or a rich 63 Acres beef pie - bringing the satisfying, homestyle character of traditional High Tea to the table.
Freshly baked aged cheddar scones are served with onion and apple chutney and tomato jam, offering a delicious savoury departure from the sweeter scones often associated with Afternoon Tea.
And, of course, no Pendray experience would be complete without something sweet.
A Sweet Finish
The final tier features an indulgent selection of signature pastries, including a Bon Macaron, blueberry cheesecake, vanilla custard tart with strawberry and cream, and Belgian chocolate fondant.
The final course provides the perfect balance to the hearty savouries that come before it.

Served Friday through Sunday from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Scottish High Tea is an invitation to slow down, linger over good food, and enjoy the atmosphere of Pendray Tea House.
Set inside a beautifully restored 19th-century Victorian mansion, the Tea House provides an enchanting backdrop for an evening of conversation, culinary indulgence, and old-world charm.

Scottish High Tea is $67 per person, with gluten-free options available upon request with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. Optional beverage pairings are available for an additional $15–$20.
