General Information
We are located at 330 Quebec Street in Victoria’s picturesque Inner Harbour, just steps from the Blackball Coho and FRS Clipper ferries, BC Parliament Buildings, Royal BC Museum, Fisherman’s Wharf, and downtown shopping and dining.
We are an independent, boutique-style hotel with charming British-inspired architecture, peaceful garden surroundings, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Guests love our central location and complimentary breakfast.
Check-in is from 4:00 pm, and check-out is by 11:00 am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available, subject to availability, for a small fee. Please contact us in advance at info@huntingdonhotelandsuites.com or by calling 1-800-663-7557.
Cancellation policies vary based on the rate you book. Please refer to your confirmation email for the exact terms that apply to your stay.
Some bookings, such as Advance Purchase or Weekly Rates, are partially or fully non-refundable and may be charged up to 100% of the stay if cancelled or changed.
Other rates may allow cancellation up to 7 days, 48 hours, or 24 hours before arrival. If cancelled after the stated deadline, a charge for the first night’s stay plus tax will apply.

Yes. The Huntingdon Hotel & Suites offers select accessible rooms and accessible routes to public areas. While we do not have roll-in or walk-in showers, our accessible rooms include features such as wider doorways, grab bars, and accessible washrooms.

Parking and Transportation
Yes. We offer both indoor and outdoor parking on-site for $18 per night plus tax. Parking is first-come, first-served, with one space per room.
Yes. We have a limited number of Level 2 EV chargers available for guest use. Please check with the front desk upon arrival to confirm availability.
YYJ is about 30 minutes by car from the hotel. Options include:
- Taxi or Ride-Share: Taxis, Uber, are all available from the airport. A one-way trip is typically $70–$80 CAD.
- Car Rental: Available at the airport for guests who prefer to explore Vancouver Island on their own schedule.
- BC Transit: Several bus routes serve the airport, including Route 88 and others via McTavish Transit Exchange. Expect about 1 hour to 1.5 hours travel time to downtown (including any necessary transfers), costing around $6 CAD.
- Taxi or Ride-Share: Both taxi services and Uber are available at the terminal.
- Public Transit: Take BC Transit Bus #70 (Swartz Bay–Downtown). Disembark near Belleville Street, just a short walk from the hotel.
Both the Coho Ferry (Black Ball Line) and FRS Clipper ferry terminals are located right across the street from the hotel, making it one of the most convenient places to stay for ferry travellers. Simply exit the terminal, cross Belleville Street, and you’ll find the Huntingdon Hotel and Suites at the corner of Oswego Street. Main entrance is on Quebec Street. No taxi or ride-share is needed.
Yes. BC Transit bus stops are within a few minutes’ walk, connecting you to downtown Victoria, ferry terminals, and surrounding neighbourhoods. A DayPASS is available for around CAD $6, allowing unlimited travel on buses for one day. For single rides, standard fares apply.
Yes. Victoria is one of Canada’s most bike-friendly cities, with a network of dedicated bike lanes, scenic waterfront routes, and trails such as the Galloping Goose and E&N Rail Trail. From the hotel, you can easily cycle to downtown, Beacon Hill Park, Dallas Road, and Fisherman’s Wharf.
If you bring your own bike, we offer secured bike storage in our underground parking lot. Please note that bikes are not permitted inside guest rooms. For guests who wish to rent a bike, The Pedaler is located on our property and offers daily rentals (including e-bikes), helmets, locks, and guided tours to help you explore the city safely and comfortably.
Rooms and Amenities
We offer a variety of accommodations, including standard rooms with either one king bed or two queen beds, family-friendly options, and newly renovated Loft Suites. Some of or standard rooms and all of our suites are equipped with full kitchens, making them a great choice for longer stays.
All rooms include complimentary private Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV with Chromecast, mini-fridge, Nespresso coffee maker and tea kettle, in-room safe, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and individually controlled heating and air conditioning.
Yes. Many of our Loft Suites and select standard rooms feature full kitchens with stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, cookware, dishes, and dining space.
Yes. All stays include a complimentary hot buffet breakfast, served daily at Hunter’s Restaurant. Breakfast is available from 7:00 am to 11:00 am during peak season and from 7:00 am to 10:00 am during shoulder season.
Our buffet features a variety of hot items such as scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, and hash browns, along with pastries, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, charcuterie, coffee, tea, and juice. Gluten-free bread is available upon request.
Yes. High-speed Wi-Fi is complimentary for all guests throughout the property.
Yes. All rooms and suites are equipped with individually controlled heating and air conditioning.
Yes, we are a dog-friendly hotel and welcome dogs in select rooms located on the ground level only. A fee of $30 CAD per room and night applies (maximum of two dogs per room). Because pet-friendly rooms are limited, please contact the hotel in advance to confirm availability. Dogs only are accepted at this time.

We have two excellent dining options right here on the property:
Hunter’s Restaurant – Serving our complimentary daily hot buffet breakfast, included with every stay.
Pendray Tea House – Located in our historic neighbouring mansion, offering Traditional Afternoon Tea during the day and Scottish High Tea in the evening. Guests can also upgrade their included breakfast to the Pendray gourmet breakfast for a small fee and enjoy a plated, locally inspired morning meal served in an elegant heritage setting.
Yes. Our limited room service menu is available daily from 11:30 am to 9:00 pm and includes 12-inch pizzas, local treats, BC wines, prosecco, and craft beer. Simply dial 0 from your room to place an order.
Yes. Our central Inner Harbour location puts you within a 5–10 minute walk of many of Victoria’s top restaurants, pubs, and cafés. You’ll find a wide variety of options, from waterfront dining on Wharf Street to casual seafood at Fisherman’s Wharf and international cuisine downtown. Our front desk team can provide recommendations or assist with reservations.

Yes. The Huntingdon Hotel & Suites features the Windsor Room, a versatile space with British library–inspired décor, high ceilings, and natural daylight. It is ideal for small corporate meetings, workshops, and intimate celebrations, accommodating up to 40 guests theatre-style and 22 boardroom style.
Yes. Catering is provided by Truffles Catering, known for high-quality, locally sourced menus. Options include coffee breaks, lunch buffets, and full meeting packages.
Yes. The Pendray Inn & Tea House is a one-of-a-kind heritage venue ideal for social gatherings such as bridal showers, receptions, private dinners, or afternoon celebrations. The Tea House can accommodate up to 78 guests seated, and 98 guests reception-style across five interconnecting dining rooms, with additional event space in the licensed garden courtyard and exterior veranda. Guests enjoy historic features such as stained-glass windows, fresco ceilings, and Victorian décor, while landscaped gardens and cobblestone walkways provide a beautiful backdrop for photos.
All catering is provided by Truffles Catering, with flexible options ranging from buffets and plated dinners to receptions and Victorian-style Afternoon Tea service.

- The PLEDGE on Food Waste (Gold-level) – awarded to the Pendray Tea House, making it the first restaurant in Canada to achieve this certification.
We integrate sustainability into our daily operations through initiatives such as food waste reduction, energy retrofits, EV charging stations, composting and recycling programs, linen and towel reuse, and support for local suppliers and producers. To help support sustainability and community initiatives, two small nightly fees are added to guest bills:
- EcoFund Fee – $2.50 + tax per room, per night: This fee is collected and third-party verified by GreenStep with the purpose of directly reinvesting into on-site carbon reduction projects such as energy retrofits, water conservation, and waste reduction.
- ITDF Fee – $0.25 + tax per room, per night: This fee supports the Indigenous Tourism Destination Fund (ITDF), an initiative of the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC), which helps strengthen Indigenous-led tourism businesses and community development.
